What a wonderful privilege it is to be called by God to pastor this great church. I believe God has wonderful plans for The Leon Christian Church. Our vision is to be a strong lighthouse for the Lord’s truth in the South Central Kansas area for years to come. We believe the Bible is God’s inerrant, infallible truth that God uses to change lives for His glory. We believe God has called The Leon Christian Church to impact the lives of all people, of all ages through the love and power of Jesus Christ.
If you are looking for a church that has exciting worship, evangelism, missions and conservative Bible teaching and preaching, then The Leon Christian Church is the church for you. Come visit with us and see if God is leading you to be a part of this family of believers within our area.

In His Service,
Pastor Kelly L. Benton
The purpose of the LCC is to fulfill four basic functions:
1. Fulfill the Great Commission -
"Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."
(Matthew 28:19-20 NIV)
2. Equip the saints for the work of ministry -
"It was He who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, to prepare God's people for work of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ."
(Ephesians 4:11-13 NIV)
3. Multiply and reproduce mature disciples -
"And the things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable men who will also be qualified to teach others."
(2 Timothy 2:2 NIV)
4. Gather together for worship of Jesus Christ -
"Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another and all the more as you see the Day approaching."
(Hebrews 10:25 NIV)
"They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer."
(Act 2:42 NIV)
